Katy Armes
Training Manager
Katy is the great granddaughter of Comanche code talker Elgin Red Elk. Originally from Oklahoma, she studied Hospitality Management at Oklahoma State University. After 17 years in the hospitality industry, Katy joined the NICWA team with an exuberance and desire to expand her knowledge of various Native cultures and to serve children and their families in the most helpful and appropriate ways. She is passionate about social justice, human rights, and strongly believes that our children are our future. While utilizing her skills developed working in direct-to-consumer roles, Katy plans to help train as many child advocates as possible to ensure the good work of NICWA can be shared far and wide.
