Ways to Give

NICWA works to support the safety, health, and spiritual strength of American Indian and Alaska Native children along the broad continuum of their lives. Your gift helps us support tribes in building the capacity to prevent child abuse and neglect through positive systems change at the state, federal, and tribal levels.

Based in Portland, Oregon, NICWA is committed to preserving the Indian Child Welfare Act as the gold standard of child welfare policy, strengthening tribal-state relations, and decreasing the overrepresentation of Native children in foster care across the United States and Canada.

Together, we can promote culturally grounded and Native-led approaches to strengthen protections for Native children and families.
